From a studio in London’s increasingly cool district of Whitechapel, the 20-person team has delivered award-winning hospitality, as well as residential, projects on three continents, each one unique but every one of the projects beyond the expected. The boutique nature of the firm means that its culture of ingenuity, thoughtfulness and pragmatism permeates every project; it also working with bold modernist structures through to beloved heritage buildings that have filtered down through her team and shine through in all their projects. They deftly re-organise the internal plan of grand old hotels to deliver an improved guest experience, they extract their ideas from sources of inspiration in a way that is perfect for the place and, over the years, they have championed the joy of the indoor/outdoor experience, once a novel concept in some parts of the world, but now considered a staple ingredient of luxury hotel design.
